It is also reported that BCCI will once again ask the three members of the Cricket Advisory Committee to take the final decision. The CAC has Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman who will carry out the interviews and decide accordingly.
Shastri was appointed the Head Coach of Indian Cricket Team in July 2017. Under him, the Indian team has climbed to the No. 1 spot in test rankings. The team, especially the captain at times gave credits to Shastri for their success. However, Ravi Shastri will most likely get a direct entry to the final pool of candidates like Anil Kumble got in 2017.
